One day it all makes sense. The cents compound if you make the rights count.
When I first started music, I had one thing in mind: leave an impression that lasts. That lasting impression became the first Bearie Kixx sticker. I knew it had to be a reflection of me, but more importantly, it had to speak directly to the pursuer who sees it.
That’s why a sticker, a physical token, became my first marketing material. It’s an asset a fan or client can utilize anywhere. But it couldn't be just any sticker. I sourced a relentless, overbearing sticker built for endurance:
Water-proof
Sun-damage proof
Scratch-resistant
Strong adhesive, so it doesn't peel easily.
With that mindset, it took every type of coffee and grind to create and share relentless stickers at the start of hitting music streaming platforms in 2018.
People saw the high-value stickers then, but they didn't know the ideas were conceived in my youth.
I watched the short longevity of cheap stickers die out before semesters ended, and for that, I compounded my quarters and refused to buy low-quality vending machine stickers because I knew I could never sell my stickers for mere cents.
That's why my original stickers are outlasting the entire duration of my now-removed music catalog.
Bearie Kixx Hydrate Your Inner Artist - Relentless Pursuit Sticker
Now, I present a redefined sticker, one that embodies the full journey. It is a symbol for the hustler and grinder who is bearing their pursuit, even if they are still balancing the 9-to-5 or various jobs, as I once did.
This is where coffee became fuel. I needed energy. I needed caffeine. I was running on pure will: 'I got to make it.' I understand that everyone’s 'make it' is different.
My own structure was built in ambient coffee shops, writing my Blueprint with a custom latte in hand.
When I first began music, I was a blue-collar worker (an apprentice electrician) making $12 an hour, working 6 to 7, ten-hour days. I was grinding and hustling, living between a hotel and my car, balancing college courses and the apprenticeship class. It was all gas, no brakes, yet all I thought about was music. I once spent $600 and a trip out of state to ask, a now Grammy-winning producer, questions. That was my first investment in mentorship.
When you look at the Bearie Kixx Hydrate Your Inner Artist sticker, you’ll see the Bearing Bear in a utility jacket, showcasing the versatility of a relentless journey. It is a steady reminder that it takes time to reach a point of helping other independent artists pursue their passion without losing sight of their vision.
I remember it all: waiting in line at the gas station, watching other blue-collar workers in high-vis vests and boots pour coffee from the nearly empty pot. We nodded to each other as a form of a respectful greeting. Female or male, it didn't matter; we all knew we had a job to do. That's the blue-collar mentality.
Coffee in hand, music blasting, pulling up to the job site: 'Get it done!'
My approach to running 1-inch conduit, walking the work scope, and mapping the u-strut was always rooted in respect. I asked the other trades about their tasks to avoid conflicts, and in doing so, I compounded respect points and built solid relationships. That integrity paid off. When the pink slip came, it was not an ending, but a nod to my next phase. The next day, my phone rang with another job call.
Solid relationships take honest, authentic building. Just like your pursuit, it takes time.
The cover art of 'Coffee' by Bearie Kixx
The current Bearie Kixx Hydrate Your Inner Artist sticker has the same jacket color as the cover art of 'Coffee', but like life, we evolve. The jacket evolved, and so did the coffee order.
The story behind my removed song 'Coffee' was about sharing coffee with someone special in the morning. Especially after a date night that consisted of a concert, early morning breakfast, and falling asleep.
It was about waking up together, talking, and laughing about my habit of eating cereal before brewing a fresh pot of hot coffee. (I would use the leftover cereal milk for coffee, and in return, my date did the same.)
So, when you look at the cover art of 'Coffee', you'll see a young bear that is happy. Headphones on, with eyes full of excitement, walking down the street. Because that was college student me, before the hustle and grind life came to full throttle.
I was a young college student maximizing time and money to experience life and all its greatness, without giving more than was expected.
Allowing myself to build solid relationships inside and outside of classes, to ensure my integrity and discipline stay intact.
And in that, I tell you, enjoy those little moments; they all compound.
The hustle and grind built the foundation of Bearie Kixx and Hydrate Your Inner Artist. It allowed me to maximize my time to ensure you don't waste yours.
Without hassle or guesswork, I designed the 1% Structural Blueprint with coffee in hand, to ensure you can build something everlasting with your custom coffee order in your hand.
